

Born in Weimar, Texas and raised on her family farm in New Bielau, Texas Carolyn graduated from Weimar High School in 1959 as an Honor Graduate. She then moved to Houston to begin her career in the Insurance industry working for Schoelman Gebhard Insurance Agency and GBS Insurance Agency. Shortly after moving to Houston, she fell in love with and married her downstairs neighbor, Eric F. Williamson Jr.
Together, they volunteered for many years with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Carolyn held positions within the Trailblazers and School Art committees.
In 1983, Carolyn became the proud mother of her beloved son, Eric J. Williamson. She cherished his every milestone and adventure. She developed into a passionate TCU football fan the instant he enrolled in the university.
Her other interests were rooting for the Houston Astros, cooking, and feeding her backyard birds and squirrels. She had a soft spot for animals. Carolyn was a very loyal, caring, and nurturing woman. She had a sweet unassuming demeanor and a strong work ethic.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Elsie Pavlik; her husband, Eric F. Williamson, Jr.; her son; Eric Joseph Williamson; and her stepdaughter Pam Houston. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Lori Merrill, and three grandchildren, Travis Holt, Hannah Houston, and Amanda Merrill.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church located at 8200 Roos Road, Houston, Texas 77036. The Rite of committal will follow at 2:00pm at St. Michael's Cemetery in Weimar, Texas.
