Catherine Elizabeth Spillane

Catherine Spillane, 81, passed away January 20 from complications of advanced heart disease, attended by her favorite daughter Meredith. Cathy was preceded in death by her granddaughter Brenna Rose, her son Jeremy, her parents John and Margaret, and her younger brothers Tony, Tommy, and Patrick.

Catherine is survived by her elder son Darrell (Jaclyn) and her daughter Meredith, as well as her older sister Peggy and younger brother John.

The daughter of a US Army lieutenant colonel and surgeon, Catherine was well-traveled from a young age, growing up on bases in Okinawa, Panama and around the US. She continued to travel throughout her life, moving with her children from West Virginia, to Ohio, to Texas, to California. Catherine spent the last 22 years of her life residing in Missouri City, Texas with her many beloved dogs and cats. She was a proud veteran of the US Navy and later worked for over forty years in health insurance.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Friday morning April 24, 2026, at 9:45AM at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479. A reception with light refreshments will immediately follow the service.
