Cynthia Keister, beloved matriarch, and friend to many, passed away on April 22, 2025.
An only child from rural Iowa, she built a life in which she was surrounded by friends and family. She was a hard worker both in her career and in retirement. Cindy was a member of too many clubs and social groups to list, but the one dearest to her heart was Fort Bend Friends and Neighbors. Cindy cherished her family and was a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She had countless friends, many of whom she’d known for decades. This is a testament to her loyalty and fun-loving nature. She was an avid golfer, knew all the rules to Mexican Train, and played poker with “the girls”. She loved to travel and was always up for a getaway.
Those who knew her and loved her will miss her dearly but take comfort in knowing that she is at peace with the ones she loved that went before her. Her son Mark Haynes and his wife Ashley Haynes; her daughter, Laura Haynes and her partner Daryl Epperson; grandchildren, Kristin Haynes and Austin Haynes and his wife Elizabeth Haynes; great-grandchildren Jack, Ethan, and Hannah, will cherish the memories made with her. Cindy has gone on to be reunited with her husband of 33 years, Michael Keister, and her mother, Dorothy George.
A Memorial Visitation for Cynthia will be held Monday, May 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The Settegast-Kopf Company@Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM with a reception to follow.
