Dae Louise Seitz

DAE LOUISE OTTO SEITZ, age 93, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Sugar Land, Texas. Dae was born in Union Bridge, Maryland, on March 24, 1920, to the late George and Effie Angel Otto. She spent her early years in York, PA, attending William Penn High School. In the late 1950’s, Dae moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In the early 1960’s, she began a 22 year career with Publix Supermarkets. It was at Publix, almost 50 years ago, where Dae met and eventually married her loving and devoted husband, Werner Joseph Seitz. Dae influenced the lives of many people she came in contact with. She never met a stranger and was always loving, kind and generous to a fault.

Dae was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Delmar Otto, Chester Otto, Elmo Otto, and Kenneth Otto; sisters, Charlotte Spriggs and Betty Shiding; and her grandson, David Gibbons. Dae is survived by her husband, Werner Joseph Seitz; son, Donald Nace Gibbons Jr. and his wife Doris; grandchildren Cindy Flint and her husband George, Donald Gibbons and his wife Elizabeth, Jonathan Gibbons, Daniel Gibbons and his wife Kristy Hughes; great-grandchildren, George Flint Jr., Hannah Flint, D.J. Gibbons, Brittany Dae Smith, William Gibbons, Nicholas Gibbons, Austin Gibbons, Peyton Gibbons, Jalen Gibbons, Lacey Gibbons; brothers-in-law, Melvin Spriggs, Erwin Seitz and his wife Pat, and Harold Seitz and his wife Linda; as well as great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 30, 2013, in the Chapel of The Divine Mercy @ St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land. The Rite of Committal will be held at 12:30 PM, Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Mt. Rose Cemetery, in York, PA.
