

Daniel Paul Miday, a lifelong resident of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully to his eternal rest on Wednesday, May 14th, 2025. He was 66 years young.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Daniel held a deep and unwavering patriotism throughout his life. His dedication to his country was a cornerstone of his identity.
For over three decades, Daniel was a familiar and friendly face at Capt. Benny’s Half Shell. He cherished his 30 plus years of work there, delighting in the opportunity to connect with people from all corners of the globe and sharing his warm Texas spirit.
Beneath his steadfast exterior lay a truly kind heart. Daniel demonstrated this kindness through his devoted care for his mother, a commitment he upheld with love and tenderness until his passing.
Daniel was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Miday; his father, Walter Miday; his bonus father, Ben Hienemann; his grandmother, Esta Shepherd; and his brother-in-law, Carl Nowlin.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his loving sister, Rosemary Nowlin; his brother, Travis, and his wife, Susan Miday; his brother, John, and his wife, Terri Miday; and a host of adoring nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private memorial service to celebrate Daniel's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that those wishing to honor Daniel's memory consider a donation to a local veterans' organization, reflecting his deep commitment to his fellow servicemen and women.
Daniel's kind spirit, unwavering patriotism, and devotion to his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
