So many years of wonderful memories of summers by the pool, Sunday dinners and special occasions shared with your wonderful boys and you Lesley. We will miss David, his generous heart and his dry sense of humor.  We will treasure our memories of him. May his soul rest in peace.

It’s difficult to believe you won’t be there with a witty response over text, and that we won’t be able to talk deep into the night about whatever strikes our fancy when I next visit. Catching up in person in April, during your Eurotrip, was such a joy. You were so happy and I’m so glad we got to spend that time together.

Attached, a picture my grandpa took of you on one of his trips to the US - maybe the one where he brought you a chocolate letter ‘D’ for Sinterklaas, and you insisted “it’s not D for David, but D for Dumbass!”, a story he recounted fondly long after.

Thanks for being a part of our family for all these years. Je was als een broertje voor me, rust zacht.

Your Mother and I have known each other for a long time.  Since we were kids learning to swim of which she was great!

David is on wings of angels now.  His passing must be quite a shock to all who knew and loved him.  May his memory bring you all peace.  He will be missed.

My first memory with David was on the day we first met. The first thing he did after seeing me was offer to share his mini-ATV and give me a turn. David was always a kind, caring person, and That small act of generosity turned into years of friendship. I keep thinking about all the summers we spent together playing in the pool and on the playset outside and all the Christmases where we would share the toys we got that year.

You'll be dearly missed, David.

We were so blessed that David came over to the uk to see us and meet Freddie only a few months ago. 
It was lovely to be able to spend time with such a wonderful person and to witness his flawless photography in person! A truly remarkable person and wonderful friend.

So many photos, so many cherished memories. 
We truly enjoyed our time as neighbors on Cane Field Drive. 
We stayed in touch even after we moved away. Last April you finally came to visit us in The Netherlands after a week-long holiday in Scotland.
You loved exploring life in Leiden and Amsterdam with Fenna.
It was wonderful having you in our home and seeing how happy you were.

I was lucky enough to spend alot of time in league bowling with David. He was a very good person, had a lot of fun and a very positive attitude.  I was really hurt by the loss of such a very nice person. He had finished college, had a recent girlfriend and his life was really looking very positive. My condolences and prayers go out to Tony, Max, and his mom. I believe David is in heaven. Thanks for bowling with us for so many years David.

This is the image that always springs to my mind when I think of David, this and how cold he was at the school sports day in "sunny" Cumbernauld. Rest In Peace lovely boy.

David, it is so hard to find the words. I watched you grow from a little boy into the wonderful young man you became.
When I think of you, I think of so many years of memories — summer swim meets, Easter egg hunts, Thanksgivings, and simply watching you Max and Jonathan and Josephine grow up together. Those memories will always have a very special place in my heart.
29 years was far too short. My heart is broken.
Rest in peace, David. You will always be remembered and forever be part of our family
