At any early age Dianne distinguished herself in 4-H, but music was her favorite activity. In college she majored in music education and piano performance. Dianne completed her bachelor’s degree in three years, and then married her life-long partner Donald. During her twenty-five years of teaching music in public schools, her students earned many awards. She was well liked by her colleagues and students, and had a brief stint at performing professionally. Dianne had three sons who were also musicians. She had several medical setbacks, including three bouts of breast cancer, diabetes, and liver and kidney disease. Through it all she never complained, and maintained her faith in God. She fought hard until the end, and died peacefully surrounded by her family.
Dianne was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Norris; and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Donald L. Norris; two sons, David Norris, and Dusty Norris and his wife Terri; grandson, Andrew Norris; and sister, Sharon Classon.
