Dorothea "Dottie" Evelyn Muratta

After obtaining her degree as a Registered Nurse from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Dottie went on to care for countless Corpus Christi babies during her 30 year career at Memorial Medical Center.

Dottie is survived by her daughters Lisa Muratta, Lori Muratta (Antoine Plante), Dr. Stacy O'Malley (Ronan), and Jan Berke-Davis (Greg); her son Dr. Paul Muratta (Mary); her grandchildren Matthew Berke, Brian Davis, Kyle Casper, Lindsey Muratta, Kelly Muratta, Shannon Muratta, Chandler Jacobs-Muratta, Simone Plante, Claire Plante, William Plante, Kieran O'Malley, Rori O'Malley, Amber Muratta, Lila Muratta and her great-grandchild Maxwell Berke. She is also survived by her beloved dog Roxy.

Dottie was preceded in death by her husband Matthew Muratta; her father and mother Willie and Selman Crouch; her sisters Mildred Ross and Gwendolyn Crouch.

A visitation for Dottie will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478 with a reception to follow at 4215 Austin Meadow Dr., Sugar Land, TX 77479. A graveside service will occur Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Seaside Cemetery, 4357 Ocean Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78412.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dejana, Lyda, Hannah and Deysi.

Dottie will be dearly missed, but she will be remembered fondly for her unwavering loyalty to, and her unconditional love of her family.
