

EDITH CULLISON BROCK, age 94, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012, in Sugar Land, Texas. She was born September 16, 1918, in Norman, Oklahoma. Her family moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 1933, settling in Mission, Texas. Edith met and married David W. Cullison in Mission, where he worked at Moore Air Field during WWII. They relocated to Highlands, Texas, in 1943, and had two daughters, Geraldean Cullison Boring and Sandra Cullison Scott. After Dave Cullison’s death in 1974, Edith moved to Livingston, TX. Col. Kirk Brock (Ret.), who served in the U.S. Army in WWII, returned to Livingston after his wife died to live near his daughter, Lois Lively. Edith met Kirk and they married in 1983. He died of cancer in 1994, and after Edith was widowed a second time, she lived in Fredericksburg, TX; then in Sugar Land, TX.
Edith was preceded in death by her two husbands, David W. Cullison and Col. Kirk Brock (Ret.); her parents, Fletcher and Jettie Lee McWilliams Roberts; three brothers, Ray, Burl, and Bill Roberts; and one great-grandson, Matthew Handy.
Edith is survived by her two daughters, Geri Boring of Lexington, SC, and Sandy Scott of Sugar Land, TX; three grandchildren, Sandy Handy of Lexington SC, James Sheley of Otterberg, Germany, and Diana Sheley of Missouri City, TX; eleven great-grandchildren, David Handy, Adam Handy, Jessica Handy, Sara Sheley, Susanna Sheley, Lane Bannwart, Ashley Bannwart, Reid Bannwart, Emma Sheley, Nate Sheley, and Andrew Sheley; and sisters, Lucille Findley of Fredericksburg, TX, Ruth Humphrey of Brandon, FL, June Theriot of Baton Rouge, LA, and Elsie Sparks of Dallas, TX.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77478, with Rabbi Ron Aaronson, officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM, at San Jacinto Memorial Park, 14659 East Freeway, Houston, TX 77015 (I-10 E).
Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Scott, David Handy, Adam Handy, Lane Bannwart, Reid Bannwart, and David Perez. Honorary pallbearers will be James Sheley and Alex Garver.
