Thought of Dr Segura tonight and decided to Google him. I had no idea he had recently passed. He was my three sons' pediatrician for 12 years until we moved. I can hear him now when he would reassure me and calm my concerns. He was an excellent doctor and I know he will be greatly missed by his family and all of his patients.

Eduardo has always been an example to all our family. His kind disposition, his commitment to his profession and most of all his dedication to my cousin Ruth and his kids has left a lasting impression.
My early memories of Eduardo are when I was 9 years old and he made a house call to treat me for Asthma. It was love at first sight.
He will be missed. To Ruth , Adriana, Patricia, Eduardo y Jaime and grandkids may you find confort in knowing that I pray for you. Marisa

I met Dr Segura while employed as a young healthcare professional in the mid 70’s. He was one of the kindest physicians I have known, not only to his patients and their families but also to the hospital staff. Then for many years I was the office nurse for fellow Colombian colleague, Dr Enrique Molano. He always greeted our staff warmly with a smile. I knew if I ever had children, I would choose him as the pediatrician. It is obvious that he was well respected and deeply loved by those families under his care. Rest in peace Dr. Segura. My deepest condolences to your family.

Dr. Segura was our pediatrician through 6 hospitalizations with our 2 boys. He was compassionate and even gave me his home number. I only used it once. I loved how he explained everything thoroughly and why he wanted to do something. From medical scares to every day illnesses. We were there so often with our oldest that I never knew the full cost of a visit until our son was five. There was no other doctor like him. It was brutally hard to leave his practice after our insurance changed. Months later, I called his office to see if I could get a referral for a specialist our new pediatrician wanted us to use. Within a minute he was on the phone, “Judy, what is going on?” He began calling me Judy after our second hospitalization with our oldest. He is only one of three people that ever called me this. I go by Judith. I loved and respected Dr. Segura. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Dr Segura. I chose him as my children’s pediatrician because he was wise, compassionate, and kind. I grew to respect him even more when I became an ER nurse at Bayshore Emergency Department and realized that the wise, compassionate, kind doctor was also a skilled physician for children with immediately life-threatening emergencies, showing great diagnostic skills, saving many children and infants. Any child he tended to was in wonderful hands. My best wishes to his family at this time, and prayers to all his family and friends at this loss.
