

Ed was born March 21, 1967 to Tony and Delores Scala in New Jersey. At a young age, his family moved to Miami, FL where he spent most of his childhood years through high school. In 1990, Ed graduated from The University of Florida where he received an Engineering Degree with specialization in materials. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Houston, TX where his successful career in rotating equipment began with The Duriron Company in Sugar Land, TX. He spent much of his working career in the pump distribution business, most notably Pump Energy, Inc.
Ed married Alicia Guillot on January 30th, 1999 his wife of 21 years. Ed and Alicia have one cherished son, Eddie. Ed was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Ed was always positive, funny, a friend to many and a stranger to few. His charismatic charm and personality were not to be out done by his unwavering moral character, integrity, loyalty, and faith in Christ Jesus. He was an avid fisherman, skier, lover of all things Gator athletics, and active volunteer in his community of Sugar Land, TX. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
