She was born December 18, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan, where she spent her early years, and then moved with her family to Florida, where she worked as a Cashier at a local bank. She and her husband eventually retired to Missouri City, where they enjoyed playing golf in Quail Valley.
Betty was preceded in death by her father; her son; two brothers; and one grandson.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, John Carey; son, Danny Carey; daughters, Christine Carey and Diane Carey; five grandsons;
and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit), with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, prior to the service.
