Elizabeth Ellen Marsh, beloved wife of James R. Marsh and mother of Ralph d. Marsh, Clifford C. Marsh, and Elizabeth Helen Clark passed away peacefully on her 85th birthday December 28, 2011. Known by her friends as Betty, she battled dementia and Alzheimer’s disease for the past 18 years. Betty was born in Torrance, California December 28, 1926, the youngest of 12 children. She is survived by her husband Jim, sons Ralph and Clifford, daughter Elizabeth, nine grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday January 3, 2012, followed by a funeral service and reception on Wednesday January 4th at 2:00 pm, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek funeral home , 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77478. A private burial will be held at the Houston National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org in Elizabeth’s memory.
