ERMELINDA “LYNN” MARIE COVERT age 73, of Missouri City, TX, was called home to heaven by God after passing away suddenly on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Lynn was a woman driven to please others before herself. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. There was never a stranger in Lynn’s eyes. Lynn loved her husband Eddie for more than 55 years. Born in Staten Island, NY, she moved to Texas after the birth of her first grandchild, and quickly re-planted her roots. Lynn became actively involved in the Catholic Church where she volunteered for social services. She leaves behind her beloved husband Eddie; daughters, Sandy Basler and her husband Peter, and Lori Pierson and her husband Donny; son, Michael Covert and his wife Lorraine; beloved and cherished grandchildren, Sydney, Troy, Anthony, Angela, and Valerie; along with numerous friends and adopted children. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2011, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit). Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 27, 2011, in the Morrow Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek.
