My deepest sympathy to his sons and their families, to his beautiful sisters and Uncle Henry and Johnny and to all that had the chance to be touched by his kindness. I had the pleasure to be a part of who I call Uncle Eugene and my memory is that he was a very respectful and thoughtful man. Always took the time to ask how are you and your family and truly listened. His presence at family gatherings will be missed.

May the memory that each of you hold keep him alive in your hearts and may your Faith in God's promises be your strength to face tomorrow.
Peace be with you always.

Oh dad, you were gone so fast. I guess we all knew this day would come, but nothing could prepare me for how hard it was to see you slip away. I'm at peace though, knowing you are in a place where you are re-newed and now can live in abundance. I know you have a lot of catching up to do with your family and friends that are there waiting for you. I can imagine them eagerly awaiting you at the Pearly Gates. What a joyous reunion it must be!

Although many years went by with gaps in our relationship, I am glad that we were able to fill in the gaps and have a true father-son relationship. Alone for many years, you always remained a strong man. I'll take some of that strength now and continue on in your memory. Your excitement and support for the crazy races I would sign up for will always be with me. I know I will run more crazy races, and I know I will still have your support now from heaven. As you start your new journey, I support you.

I know you loved me, cause you told me so. You know I loved you, cause I told you so. No regrets, no guilt, just pure unconditional love remains.

I will always love you dad,

Ricky

Uncle Gene, I will always remembered you as a very respectful and honest man, not one time passed when I shook your hand and you did not ask me how are you and your family doing. I miss you dearly! may GOD's kingdom be beautifully built for you as you have built for all of us here with your hands and your loving heart.
Love you, nephew Rudy

Although we may not have had an abundance of time over the last 47 years, we did have 2017. Quality over quantity. I am so glad I got the time to spend with you learning how to build and getting to know you as a person. Everything aligned as it was meant to be. You will be sorely missed but your memory will be forever engrained in my heart.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery. Your final build is complete.

Love you Pops!
