FRANCISCO ANGEL GUERRA, 60, of Sugar Land, TX, passed away Tuesday, November 11th, 2014, at Methodist Hospital in Sugar Land, following a battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his daughter, Laura; and three sons, Francisco, Andres, and Jorge. Born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon MX, the son of Isabel and the late Francisco Guerra, he was a lifelong resident of Sugar Land, a loving father and a caring husband. In his early years, Francisco aspired to be a physician and attended medical school at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in Monterrey starting in 1972. His time spent in the United States afforded him many opportunities and occupational avenues. Francisco postponed his studies for stable employment and later met his wife, Patricia Albo at his brother Jorge’s wedding in 1984. Two years later they wed. He was an entrepreneur at heart and had a passion for geography and the outdoors as he aspired to one day trek the entire United States. Francisco’s pride and joy was his family, relishing in their aspirations and accomplishments while serving as a shoulder to lean on and a beacon of endless wisdom. A Celebration of Francisco’s life will be held at 5:00 PM, Friday, November 14, 2014, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit), with a reception immediately following.
