

Glenn W. MacConnell, Jr., 75 passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at his home in Sugar Land, TX. He was a devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather. Born, September 7, 1941 in Seguin, TX. Glenn lived his life in Houston, TX, graduating from Bellaire High School, ’61. He married the love of his life, Sandra Kay Massad, on August 28, 1965 and they made their home in Houston, TX and then Sugar Land, TX. The couple have two children, son, Marc and daughter, Kelsey both of Sugar Land. Glenn was an entrepreneur and business owner. He was the Owner, Founder, CEO & President of STC Office Services, a very successful company with locations in Houston, Dallas and Austin, TX from 1965-1989, Owner and Founder of Glenngraphics from 1993-2017 and other businesses as well. Glenn was a proud member of the Gray Lodge #329 in Houston, TX and a 32nd degree Scottish Right Mason. He was a Shriner with the Arabia Temple in Houston, TX and also a former part time sheriff reserve with Harris County and later Comal County. Glenn was preceded in death by his mother, Lennes Blakey Craven; stepfather, Warren Craven; father, Glenn MacConnell, Sr.; brother, Bill Hassell; brother Donald Hassell and sister Doris Couch. He leaves behind his wife, Sandra; son Marc MacConnell and daughter-in-law Lori; daughter Kelsey Lawrence and son-in-law Stephen Nancarrow, granddaughters Lila Lawrence and Katie MacConnell; sister-in-law Rita Korkmas; several nieces and nephews and his dog Ranger. Glenn loved his family and being a grandpa most and also loved animals, cars, piloting planes and instructing others to fly and had a tremendous artistic gift. He was a positive influence and mentor to many, saw the good in every person and his business motto was Service To Customers! The family would like to thank the many Doctors, nurses and caregivers, especially Daisy Christian for their care and support of Glenn. A Celebration of a Life Well Lived will be held at the Settegast-Kopf funeral home, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77478 on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 10 AM.
