Irma Garcia Soza, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away on August 2nd, 2018, surrounded by her family at the age of 65. Irma was born in El Campo Texas on January 27th, 1953 but has been a resident of Sugar Land for over 30 years. Affectionately known as “Mimi” by her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews she will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, strong faith, and love of family. In addition to being an amazing mother, “Mimi”, aunt, sister and cousin, Irma was a proud and dedicated employee of BMC Software for the last 20 years, where she cultivated multiple long-lasting friendships. Irma is preceded in death by her parents Flavio and Minerva Garcia. She is survived by her brother Flavio Jr., sister Rosa (Pedro) Charles, sons Javier (Karla) and Eric (Irina), grandchildren Jeffrey, Keira, Ryan, and Regan and will be forever remembered by her nieces, nephews, and extended family of cousins and dear friends.
A rosary will be held on Monday August 6th, 2018 at 7 p.m. at Settegast-Kopf Chapel located at 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas. A mass will be held on Tuesday August 7th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Laurence Church located at 3100 Sweetwater Boulevard, Sugar Land, Texas followed by a celebration of Irma’s life in the parish hall. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen, Texas at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in memory of Irma to the charity of your choice.
