James Marcus Greene
April 14, 1946 – January 19, 2023

James “Jim” Marcus Greene, 76, passed away on January 19, 2023. Jim was born in Watsonville, California. When he was 17 years old he left the comfort of his home to serve his country. He was stationed aboard the USS Oklahoma where he participated in several cruises to Vietnam to provide support to the air attack on North Vietnam forces. Jim loved nature, taking walks with his dogs and grandchildren, and reminiscing about his time in the Navy.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jane Carey and Patrick Greene and a son, Brian Greene. Those left to cherish his memory are a brother; George Greene, his daughters; Elizabeth Oliver and her husband Thomas, Yvonne Dosier and her husband John, his sons; James Greene and his wife Aysha, and Mark Greene, his grandchildren; Angelique Evans, Krystal Dosier, John Dosier, Corey Lenkner, Kyle Adkins, Ashley Adkins, Amber Roberts,Samantha Oliver, Bradey Oliver, Luke Greene, Jacob Greene, Zachary Greene, Jack Greene, James Greene, Tiberius Greene, Taysom Greene, Collins Greene, Dakota Greene, Katie Greene, and Kaylie Greene, and his great-grandchildren; Isabelle Gumpert, Gabrielle Evans, Ariel Evans, Johnathan Dosier, Angela Dosiere, Peyton Dosier, Aubrianna Dosier, Josiah Dosier, Zariah Lenkner, Logan Lenkner, and Mayven Rae Roberts (due March 2023).
An inurnment service will be done at a later time at the California Central Coast Veteran’s Cemetery.
