

Jimmy was born on October 31, 1957, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Sharpstown High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University. Jimmy met the love of his life, Linda, in 1983 at his mother’s garage sale. They were married in October 1985.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda, and his parents, Jim and Neva Holzhauser. He is survived by his daughter, Jenna; his sister, Judy Gregg, and her husband, John; as well as a close-knit circle of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Jimmy was a founding member of St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, where he had been a part of the Fourth Degree for 26 years. He served in multiple leadership roles, including two terms as Grand Knight.
He was passionate about golf and enjoyed hitting the course weekly with friends. He also loved frying fish at the Knights of Columbus Lenten fish fries and volunteering at the annual church bazaar. Jimmy loved to travel and especially enjoyed going on cruises with family. He was a proud fan of the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans.
A Visitation and Vigil will be held on August 25, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at The Settegast-Kopf Company@Sugar Creek, Morrow Chapel, located at 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas, 77478. A Rosary Service will follow at the same location from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for August 26, 2025, at 10:00 am. A Graveside Service will take place at Morton Cemetery, 401 N. 2nd Street, Richmond, Texas, 77469.
