He was 91 years old and a long-time resident of Missouri City, Texas. Mr. Parsley was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Wilhelmina (Haselden) Parsley, and his sister Ruth Hazel Gates. He met his wife while based at Fort Benning prior to serving in Germany for nine months as a tank commander. Jim was an avid wildlife hunter and fisherman and especially enjoyed deer and big game hunting in Texas and Colorado. He also loved following U.S. politics and watching college football—especially the Texas Aggies. Due to Covid-10 restrictions, a graveside service and interment will be held at Cude Cemetery in Willis, Texas, on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
