JANET GAYLE SAKACH, age 60, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, after losing her battle with cancer. She was born April 18, 1952, in Abbeville, LA, to Gabriel and Lucille Sherman Guidry. Janet graduated from Abbeville High School, Class of 1970, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics from the University of Southern Louisiana in 1974. She was a Certified Professional Community Association Manager and an Elite Association Management Specialist employed by PCMI, Planned Community Management Inc. She served as Chairman of the Community Association Institute. Janet enjoyed cooking and baking, and always loved having fresh cut flowers in her home. Her favorite color was purple. She loved animals and always had a place in her heart for her many cats and dogs.
Janet was preceded in death by her father, Gabriel Guidry. She is survived by her husband, Mike Sakach; her children, Brandy White and her husband Casey, and Brent Johnson; step-children, Dawn Petty and her husband Mark, Shawn Sakach and his wife Debbie, and Heather Guillory and her husband Nathan; granddaughters, Lauren Guillory, and Kristen and Kara Petty; mother, Lucille Guidry; brother, Davis Guidry and his wife Linda; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 17, 2013, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit).
