I am proud to have known and worked with Captain Pierce. He was a great firefighter, exceptional leader and mentor for many Houston Firefighters. He set the bar for other officers in the department. He earned the respect of the men who served under his command by treating them with respect and consistency in his expectations for performance and professionalism. Captain Pierce, you were missed by the members of the HFD when you retired. Your Brothers mourn your loss but celebrate your Legacy.

Rest In Peace - Senior Captain Joe Pierce, HFD (ret)
