Jack served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War, reaching the rank of Lt. Commander. He then moved to Hawaii where he lived for the next thirty years, getting married and raising his two children, Cathy and Scott there.
Jack later moved back to the mainland, landing in Hilton Head, SC, where he developed great, lasting friendships with many at Tidepointe. He was joined there by his sister, Betty Lou Kelley, and they spent many happy years together.
When Betty died last year, Jack moved to Texas to join his children and to get to know his grandchildren and great-grandchildren better.
