JOHN STINSON O’LEARY was granted his angel wings in the arms of his loving parents, Timothy and Stinelli O’Leary. Johnny was born on October 15, 2004 in Dallas, Texas. He passed peacefully on February 25, 2013, after a courageous battle against heart cancer in Houston. His final days were spent surrounded by extended family and close friends. Although Johnny was only eight years old, he was blessed with ten lifetimes full of love, laughter and friendships. As their only child, Tim and Stinelli were able to give him their undivided love and attention. Johnny was a world traveler, having visited the Philippines, China, Italy and Canada. His last vacation was in the summer of 2012 along with twenty-two family members in Maui, Hawaii. Johnny enjoyed everything in excess! He enjoyed gaming, cooking, science, parties and hanging out with his many school buddies. His kind heart was one of his greatest gifts. Johnny could light up a room with his smile and he made all of our lives better by being part of his. Throughout his 500 day journey battling against sarcoma, Johnny unveiled the true meaning of courage, grace and dignity.
Johnny is survived by his parents, Timothy Paul and Stinelli Castaneda O’Leary; his grandmother, Jeanne Marie McCambley O’Leary; and his grandfather, Antonio Fernandez Castaneda.
