Bob was a veteran, having served in the Army Air Corps and in the 185th Sioux City Air National Guard. He worked in the Sioux City Stockyards for most of his career.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Peterson Olson; and sister, Dorothy Ann Olson Mott.
He is survived by his nephews, Fred Mott and his wife Jan, and John Mott and his wife Lori; niece, Barbara Marr and her husband Mike; and great-nephews and nieces, Chris, Corie, Joshua, Eric, Amanda, and Jennifer Mott, and Kate and Max Marr.
As per his desire, there will be no formal funeral services.
