You were one of our Best neighbors in Sugar Land!  The memory I have of Jose' is that he was always smiling and very friendly to anybody he came in contact with.  He loved you Monika very much and it was quite obvious.  He was also very proud when talking about his children.  He will always be part of your lives with the memories and love living  within your heart. 
 I sent a donation to the Special Olympics in remembrance of Jose'.   I have a cousin who is Special Needs so this touches my heart as well.

My deepest condolences to the Ramos family.  I can’t even begin to count the number of people Jose has impacted in his distinguished career at Jacobs.  He was a gentleman, mentor, teacher, boss, colleague, technical expert and a whole lot more.  One of the nicest person many of us have ever known.  He will be missed by all.

My deepest condolences to the Ramos family, all his ex-colleagues and friends for this great loss!  I am very fortunate to have known Jose for the past 15 years.  Jose was my mentor at Jacobs.  The very first project we worked together, he took me under his wings and our bond grew stronger ever since.  I have learnt so much from him - both on how to be a good engineer as well as how to be a good human being!  He has helped so many younger engineers grow in their career.  He was one of the best in his profession in the industry.  Yet, he was so humble and was always willing to help others.  He was totally dedicated to his family - both the home family and the work family.  Jose was a class act and he leaves behind a huge void that cannot be filled.  For all his good deeds, I am sure his soul will rest in peace.

Malini and I, Batuk, are so sorry for your loss, our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow. I was fortunate to know Jose, working with him at Dow Chemical in California and when we all moved to Sugar Land as neighbors and coworkers. I got a chance to see what a great man Jose was! Always smiling, happy and a loving family man. Jose was a brilliant Chemical Engineer, who had a tremendous impact on all who got to know him. I have great memories of our car pooling days, and the discussions we shared during those times. 
Monica, know that we are thinking of you, remembering Jose, and celebrating his life.

I remember so well all the fun times we had with Jose and Monika as next door apartment neighbors early in our professional lives in Knoxville. I loved reading of his interest in sailing and birding, two interests I also developed later in life. My condolences to Monika and all other loved ones. He was a role model for all.

No words can describe how sorry I am for your loss. Even though Jose and I were not in touch for quite some years , he was always remembered as my funny, smart and humble cousin to whom I greatly admired as a child.

Joel was a very dear friend.  He was bright, highly responsible, caring, and with a great sense of humor. We studied together for many years at the Academia Sagrado Corazon in Santurce, PR. We were fortunate to continue together our engineering studies, at the Colegio de Mayaguez, and were roommates for a couple of years.   We were close to his family, who hosted many of us several times at their beach house. He met Monika, and married the love of his life. We will miss you Joel.

Joel, which is what his Puerto Rican family called him, was my first cousin. My father, Freddie, the tall guy in the photo, is Félida's brother. I want to share here my father's condolences. He remembers perfectly how much joy Joel's birth brought into the family, and is heartbroken by his passing. Joel always had a special place in his heart, which he will forever occupy.



I had not seen Joel in many, many years. When he became ill I reached out and shared some photos that his mother would send my father while he was studying in Barcelona. Joel could not believe that those photos still existed, and he was very interested in passing them on to his children. It will be a pleasure to honor his wish, so if someone could get in touch with me with a mailing address I will do that right away.

I never had the opportunity to work on a project with Jose, but I did work with him while I was between projects.  He had a passion for teaching and a desire to share his knowledge.  Above that, he was a kind and generous man.  Jacobs lost a brilliant mind when he retired.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the Ramos family, and hope there is some comfort in knowing that Jose is at peace, and in God’s hands.

Jose was the kind of person you just cannot forget.  He was kind, thoughtful, humorous, extremely intelligent, and most of all a great debater. There was nothing you could discuss with him.  He was knowledgeable on many diverse topics. In particular, he reveled discussing politics with us, knowing how much we too enjoyed doing this.   We think very fondly of the times we spent with him and Monika visiting them in Knoxville, Tennessee; Sugar-land, and College Station, Texas, and when they came to see us first in Chicago and later on in Wisconsin for our son’s wedding.   Jose always made sure to take time for us, and make our times together as memorable for us as well as for my sister, his wife Monika.  He was always so considerate to everyone.  One such occasion was to reassure a flustered wait-staff who had messed up our orders.  Jose is going to be missed by all of us.  May you rest in Peace.

My sincerest condolences to the Ramos family for this lost.
Jose was the best Process Manager and I had learned a lot from him.  Everyone knew Jose as a highly knowledgeable person in his career.  We also knew Jose as the husband who love his wife wholeheartedly.  Anyone who has worked with him has heard how sweet way he talks on the phone with Monika that no one can imitate.
Jose will always be missed by all who knew him.  Rest in Peace, Jose.

Jose was a true treasure. I had the pleasure of working with him as my Lead for a few years.  We had many laughs in our duration of working with together. I admired his approach on every project with his positive attitude and kindness. He was a great teacher and treated everyone with kindness. Thank you Jose for the many lessons in work and in life. I am truly saddened to learn about Jose's passing.  It was a sincere pleasure working with Jose.  He was such a kind, patient person and and had such exceptional talent.  I knew I could always count on Jose to walk me through Process related questions in a manner that made sense to someone who had zero Process background. My thoughts and prayers are with Jose’s family in this time of grief.  As a boss, colleague, mentor, technical resource, and everything in between, Jose was truly in a league of his own.   His jovial and friendly demeanor was appreciated by all who knew him.  Probably the nicest person most of us will ever know is best remembered by his patience to teach, willingness to help, and ability to work with just about anyone.  
Bittersweet for those of us left behind, I am happy for Jose to no longer be suffering or in pain.
