It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karson Matthew Meunier, a cherished son, loving brother, and devoted friend, who left us on July 16, 2024, at the age of 28.
Karson was born on Friday, April 13, 1996, to Christian and Janet Meunier. He was a beacon of light in the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. An eccentric handyman, Karson took immense pride in his work, always eager to lend a helping hand and fix what was broken, embodying the spirit of community and compassion.
Karson was an old soul who found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved camping in his trailer, spending warm summer days at the lake house, working as an athletic trainer in high school, and cozying up with timeless television classics like "Golden Girls" and "Seinfeld." His passion for history was apparent not just in his conversations but also in his deep appreciation for the architecture of turn-of-the-century homes and historical buildings, which he often remodeled with his creative flair.
Karson's heart was as vast as his interests; he found beauty in the good of all people and embraced the joy of life through dance, whether he was moving to old music or engaging in long, intellectual conversations. His infectious spirit left everyone feeling uplifted and cherished.
He is survived by his loving parents, Christian and Janet Meunier; siblings Cameron and Quinn Meunier, Craig Meunier, and Nikki Brousard; and a community of friends who will carry forth his legacy of kindness and authenticity. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Weldon and Phyllis May, and Alex and Rosemary Meunier.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to our neighborhood families and close friends; Richard Lucier, the Prejean-Shorts family, his beautiful dog Nora, and all the incredible individuals who stood by Karson throughout his life, loving him unconditionally. Your support brought him comfort and strength.
Karson's zest for life and capacity to make everyone feel valued will be deeply missed but never forgotten. In our hearts, he remains a guiding light, inviting us always to see the good and embrace the beauty around us.
A celebration of Karson's life will be held on August 10, 2024 at 10:30am CT at The Settegast-Kopf Co@ Sugar Creek 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, Texas 77478, honoring his spirit and the love he shared with all of us. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Trevor Project, mirroring Karson's commitment to helping others.
