Kathryn Weber of Missouri City, TX beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on the 11th of January 2024, at the age of 68. Kathryn was born on the 12th of March 1955, in Columbia, SC to her parents Janne and William Phillips. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and earned the American Bankers Association B.I.A. Certificate of Banking. Kathryn had a successful career as an executive in the mortgage industry. She held memberships in the following organizations, American Bankers Associations, Big Sisters, and Compassion International.
Kathryn enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, and entertaining family and friends. She can best be described by the following quotes from her friends and family, “A very loving, caring daughter, sister, aunt, wife, and friend,” “Wonderful, vibrant delightful person with a mischievous giggle and enormous heart.” “Will live in our memories forever,” “Beautiful and funny,” Kind and loving soul,” “Second mother,” “Auntie Cake’” “A joy to everyone she met,” “Compassionate, thoughtful, and fun person,” and “Generous.”
Kathryn loved life and fought bravely for herself, her family, her friends, and those who would contract Alzheimer’s in the future. She enrolled in a drug trial and blood bank to help find a cure. She enjoyed mentoring young women in the Big Sister program. Kathryn’s loving, caring, and generous nature will be truly missed by all.
She was predeceased by her parents, Janne and William Phillips. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 31 years, Bernard Weber, her brothers, Rob Phillips (Shari), and Richard Phillips (Andrea), her nieces and nephews; Patrick Phillips, Will Phillips (Anna), Wesley Phillips (Erin), Matthew Phillips, Nathan Phillips, Emma Phillips, Mary Weber (David), Samantha Weber, Andrew Weber, Matt Weber, Meghan Weber (Alex), Dillon O’Hara, Scott Neck (Cherish), Michael Neck (Meagan).
The family would like to give special thanks to all of Kathryn’s doctors, nurses, therapists, and caregivers. Also, a heartfelt thank you to all of our family and friends without whose support we couldn’t have managed especially, Rhonda and Wayne Neck.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 SW FWY, Sugar Land, TX 77478. There will be subsequent Celebrations of Life to be announced and held in Charleston, SC and Buffalo, NY.
