Kenneth Harrington

KENNETH WILSON HARRINGTON, age 71, went to be with his Lord on Friday, November 26, 2010, at Triumph Hospital of Sugar Land, with his loving family by his side. He was ever faithful to God and walked in His ways. Kenneth will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a very special “granddaddy” to many of his children’s and grandchildren’s friends. He was also a very special uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was born in Grapevine, TX, was raised in Raymondville, TX, and he raised his family in Sugar Land, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Elma Stephenson Harrington; and his brothers, Paul, Stephen, and Lynn. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Andrea (Garza) Harrington; his sons, John Daniel of Rosenberg, TX, and Kenneth Wayne (Angel) of Houston; and his daughter, Julie (Michael) Chisholm of Richmond, TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Landon Thomas (Emily) Harrington, Madeline R. Brown, Elys M. (John R.) Chisholm-Matula, Mallorie C. Harrington, Morgan C. Harrington, and Marshall W. Harrington. Surviving siblings are Jane (Donald) Theriot of Harlingen, TX, and Donald Harrington of Ennis, TX.

Kenneth attended the University of Texas and was a teacher in the Raymondville ISD. He worked for Chevron Oil Co. for 25+ years as a seismic analyist/geophysicist. When he was not spending his free time with his grandchildren, children and other family members, he was attentively reading his bible, tediously solving math problems as a hobby, and he enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday evening, November 30, 2010, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit). Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 1, 2010, in The Morrow Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, with Pastor Ronnie Norman, officiating. Interment will follow at Morton Cemetery, in Richmond, TX.
