

passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior, on Monday, April 10, 2017. In 2009, Lana was
diagnosed with stage IV Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Through strong will and determination, she
beat the odds and lived cancer-free for over 8 years. She was born on August 11, 1941 in Houston, Texas. Lana had many passions in life. She loved all of her family very much and thought it very important to have frequent family gathering, at which she would cook up great feasts. Lana was always very friendly and social person and loved talking to everyone. Lana also loved sports. She was a devoted Houston Astros fan, which is a love she shared with her brother and sister. Lana also loved being involved with her children’s sports. She dedicated all her free time to coaching them, driving them to sporting events and watching almost every game they played. Lana also loved plants and flowers and painting beautiful pictures. Lana is survived by her son, Matthew J. Grasmeder; daughter, Mindy Grasmeder Ramirez and her husband Jorge; grandchildren, Michelle and Jenna Grasmeder; Nicolas, Jorge and Belen Ramirez; nieces Gina and Donna Dumas, Caryl Custer and Janie Busby; nephews, Bob, Tom, John, Andrew, and Mike Dormer.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1501 5th St. Missouri City, TX, Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 10:30am.
