Linda Mae Emery

Linda left this earth on September 26, 2026 after a brief hospital stay. She was born in Truman, Arkansas, on January 25th 1941 and was 85 years young when she left this Earth to be with Her Heavenly Father Jesus Christ and the many predeceased friends and family.

Linda is survived by her husband of 69 years Floyd Emery. Her son Brian Keith Emery and wife Peggy from Omega, Georgia, and their daughter, Linda’s granddaughter, Dr. Jennifer Emery Crumbley, and husband Dr. Brett Crumbley and their daughters, Linda’s great granddaughters, Carlisle and Maren Crumbley from Tifton, Georgia. Son Dennis Scott Emery from Missouri City, Texas. God son Jim Rorison, and wife Vicki and their sons Kyle and Garrett and daughter Alexis from Montgomery, Texas. Niece Susan Tuberville, and husband Dwight from Alvin Texas, and their daughter, Linda’s grand niece, Angela and her husband Rene Garcia from Corpus Christi, Texas. Niece Connie Jennings from Danbury, Texas. Her daughter, Linda’s grand niece, Michelle Bohn and husband Jon Mead from San Marcos, Texas. Her son Shane, Linda’s grand nephew, and his wife Jessie and their son Konnor and daughter Kami from Danbury, Texas. Sister in law JoAnn Claywell from St.Louis, Missouri. Her son, Linda’s nephew, Mike Claywell and wife Vicky and their son Patrick and daughter Ashley from Jerseyville, Illinois. Her daughter, Linda’s niece, Tracy Claywell and her daughter Brittany from St. Louis, Missouri.

Linda is predeceased by her mother Mary Turnbo and sister Ruby Cozart from Amsterdam, Texas; Mother and father in laws Hazel and Ted Emery and brother in law Patrick Claywell all from St. Louis, Missouri.

Linda was a proud graduate and cheerleader at McKinley High School (Goldbugs) in St. Louis, Missouri.

Linda had a diversified career from bank teller, real estate sales, administrative manager for a large industrial corporation but her favorite position in life was as a mother, wife and homemaker for her family.

Linda was baptized and married in a methodist church in St. Louis Missouri and when settling in Houston, Texas became a parishioner in the Quail Valley Church of Christ. She later found Jesus Christ her Savior at the River Point Church (RPC) in Missouri City.

Linda loved people and found an outlet for this in the many organizations she was either a volunteer, member, or board member. From the team mother for the many sport teams that Brian and Dennis were members of, to the many Quail Valley social organizations. This was Linda’s outlet for ‘service’. In Quail Valley she poured her heart into the Ladies Golf Association and initiated the goal of beginning and funding the 1st Tee program at Quail Valley. From a very small group of kids to one which now has over 500 kids, the QV chapter of 1st Tee became the largest in the Houston area. Funding for the Quail Valley 1st Tee program was provided through the proceeds from the many fund raising golf tournaments organized by the Quail Valley LGA.

Funeral arrangements begin with a memorial gathering on October 1st from 6 to 8pm at Settegast-Kopf, Sugar Creek located at 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas, followed by an Oct. 2nd 1pm Memorial Church service at RPC Missouri City located at 7057 Knights Court, Missouri City, Texas and an October 3rd 5pm Celebration of Life at the Quail Valley Golf Club located at 2880 La Quinta Drive, Missouri City, Texas.
