With loving remembrance and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Linda F. Wikoff, who peacefully entered the presence of her Lord on May 30, 2026, at the age of 73, after a courageous four-year battle with Stage 4 melanoma.
Born on February 4, 1953, and raised in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, Linda lived a life defined by faith, compassion, determination, and unconditional love. On March 6, 1971, she married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Wikoff, beginning a beautiful partnership that would span more than 55 years. Together they built a life centered on family, faith, adventure, and caring for others.
Linda was the heart of her family. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel loved, valued, and special. Whether through a warm hug, a thoughtful phone call, words of encouragement, or simply being present when someone needed her, Linda devoted her life to caring for those around her. Her family always knew they were loved, and that love will remain one of her greatest legacies.
In 1993, while working full-time and raising a family, Linda returned to school to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. Through hard work, perseverance, and determination, she earned her RN degree and dedicated her career to serving others. She specialized in geriatrics, caring for residents at The Forum at Memorial Woods, and later served as a hospice triage nurse. Nursing was more than a profession to Linda—it was her calling. She treated every patient with dignity, kindness, and compassion, offering comfort and support during life's most difficult moments.
Linda and Bob shared a love of travel and making memories together. Hawaii held a special place in their hearts, and they visited as often as they could. They also cherished countless Disney vacations with their children and grandchildren, creating treasured memories that will be remembered for generations. Whether exploring a favorite destination or gathering around the table with family, Linda's happiest moments were those spent with the people she loved most.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Gerald and Wilma Oakley, and her cherished sister, Donna Qualls.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert "Bob" Wikoff; her brothers, Phillip Oakley and his wife, Carla Oakley, and Tim Oakley; her children, Shannon Weatherall, Jacob Wikoff, and Kelli Wikoff; her son-in-law, Mathis Weatherall; Kelli's longtime partner, Nick Ilagan; her beloved grandchildren, Brooks Landrum, Wren Wikoff, Melissa Spencer and her husband, Dr. Nicholas Spencer, and Sellers Weatherall and his wife, Brittany Weatherall; her cherished great-grandchildren, Norah Landrum, Vivienne Spencer, and Wesley Spencer; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and love.
While her family grieves her loss, they find comfort in knowing that Linda is no longer suffering and is now rejoicing in Heaven, reunited with her parents and sister whom she loved so dearly. We can only imagine the joy of that reunion and the peace she now experiences in the presence of her Savior.
Linda's greatest joy was her family, and her greatest gift was love. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, faith, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Linda will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
