With profound sadness and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Linda F. Wikoff, who peacefully entered the presence of her Lord on May 30, 2026, at the age of 73, after a courageous four-year battle with Stage 4 melanoma.
Born on February 4, 1953, and raised in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, Linda carried the values of family, kindness, determination, and compassion throughout her life. On March 6, 1971, she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Wikoff, beginning a beautiful partnership that would span more than 55 years. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, adventure, and unconditional love.
Linda was the heart of her family and the definition of selfless devotion. She spent her life caring for others, always putting the needs of her loved ones before her own. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and ensuring they always felt supported, cherished, and special. Whether through a phone call, a warm hug, words of encouragement, or simply being present, Linda had a remarkable gift for making everyone around her feel loved.
In 1993, while working full-time and caring for her family, Linda returned to school to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, she earned her RN degree and dedicated her career to caring for others. She specialized in geriatrics, serving patients at The Forum at Memorial Woods, and later worked as a hospice triage nurse. Nursing was more than a profession for Linda—it was a calling. She cared for her patients with the same compassion, dignity, and grace that she showed to everyone in her life.Z
Linda and Bob shared a love of travel and adventure. Hawaii held a special place in their hearts, and they returned there as often as they could. They also created countless cherished memories on Disney vacations with their children and grandchildren. Whether traveling across the ocean or spending time together at home, Linda’s happiest moments were those spent surrounded by family.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Gerald and Wilma Oakley, and her cherished sister, Donna Qualls.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Robert “Bob” Wikoff; her children, Shannon Weatherall, Jacob Wikoff, and Kelli Wikoff; her son-in-law, Mathis Weatherall; Kelli’s longtime partner, Nick Ilagan; her beloved grandchildren, Brooks Landrum, Wren Wikoff, Melissa Spencer and her husband, Dr. Nicholas Spencer, and Sellers Weatherall and his wife, Brittany Weatherall; her cherished great-grandchildren, Norah Landrum, Vivienne Spencer, and Wesley Spencer; and many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were blessed by her love and friendship.
While our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing that Linda is no longer suffering and is now rejoicing in Heaven, reunited with her parents and sister whom she loved so deeply. We can only imagine the joy of that reunion and the peace she now experiences in the presence of the Lord.
Nothing brought Linda greater joy than her family. Her greatest gift was making those around her feel loved, valued, and cared for. Her family never doubted how deeply she loved them, and that love will remain with them forever.
Linda will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
