Lynda Sue Mahan Miller was born on November 18, 1944 in Beaumont, Texas, to Oliver Leslie and Evelyn Mahan. Lynda met her husband, Warren Miller in January 1963. Three months later, on March 2, 1963 they were married. Fifty three years later on April 6, 2016, Lynda left this world to be with her lord and her deceased daughter Pamela Nicole Miller.
Lynda started sketching as a young child. She loved to paint, write and most of all give to others. After moving to Houston, she studied Art under various Houston area artists and joined The Art League and Sugar Land Area Artists. She enjoyed working with children and adults, teaching as a substitute artist in the Fort Bend area.
Lynda felt that through Art, she could express joy, excitement, peace, love, sadness and hope. It gave her great pleasure to see different things and bring them to life on canvas. She commented just prior to exhibiting her paintings in the St. Luke’s Rotunda Gallery that “ oil painting allowed her to see the rich colors as they played across the canvas”.
Lynda is survived by her husband Warren; sons: Kevin and Connor; daughter: Cathy Hoyns; grandchildren: Brandon Miller, Erica Csepke, April Hoyns and Christopher Hoyns and two great grandchildren Logan Miller and Miles Sherman.
The out pouring of love which Lynda gave to everyone will be miss by us all!
Memorial Service will be Friday, April 22, 2016 at 12:00PM at the United Methodist Christ Church located at 3300 Austin Parkway Sugar Land, Texas 77479.
