

Martine Denise Lacy, beloved wife, mother, and cherished soulmate, passed away on June 14, 2024, surrounded by her family in Houston, Texas. She was born on November 7, 1968, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to Benjamin and Yolande Williams, who preceded her in death.
Martine pursued her passion for knowledge and education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Alabama and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Analytics from Colorado State University. She dedicated her career to accounting, finance, and project management across diverse sectors including oil and gas, insurance, and education.
A beacon of strength and love, Martine excelled in balancing her career with being a devoted stay-at-home mom to her two daughters, Madeleine (Madi) and Vivienne (Vivi). She took immense pride in their academic and athletic achievements, nurturing their growth with unwavering support and encouragement.
Martine's life was a testament to her boundless curiosity and love for learning. She found joy in physical fitness through activities like strength training, swimming, and hiking. She embraced the wonders of the world through travel, found solace in literature, nurtured life through gardening, and delighted in the complexities of English mysteries.
Martine's warmth and compassion touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She faced life with grace, kindness, and an enduring smile that brightened the lives of those around her. Her legacy of love and generosity will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Martine is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Terry Lacy, and her loving daughters, Madi of Denver, CO, and Vivi of Fort Worth, TX. She is also survived by her sisters, Brigitte Herbert (Bill Herbert) of Gulfport, MS, and Linda Whelan (Kerry Whelan) of Tucson, AZ.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated teams at Methodist Hospital's Houston Medical Center, including the neurosurgery department, neurological intensive care unit, skilled nursing facility, inpatient rehabilitation center, and cancer center. Special thanks also go to Houston Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.
Martine's spirit and legacy will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
