Mary Ann Wellman Lehrmann

Mary Ann Lehrmann, 70, passed away January 20, 2012. Mrs. Lehrmann was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wellman; mother, Moline Tobias Wellman and in-laws, Immanuel and Ruby Lehrmann. Mrs. Lehrmann is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Ray Lehrmann; daughters, Teresa Swanson, Kem Harrity (and husband, John Harrity) and Karen Lehrmann; son, Darren Lehrmann (and wife Lori Lehrmann), her step-mother Johnny Hounsel; brothers, Robert Wellman, Jr. (and wife Katie Wellman), Garry Wellman; sisters-in-law, Ruby J. Lehrmann, Linda Hanson, Darlene Lehrmann and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Lehrmann was the proud grandmother to three grandsons; Brandon Swanson (and wife Lacey Swanson), Blake Swanson, Luke Lehrmann, and two great grandsons; Bryson Swanson and Mason Swanson and two granddaughters; Lauren Harrity and Grace Lehrmann. While employed at TDCJ for over 20 years as the Warden’s Secretary at the Jester Unit, she completed the necessary requirements for an Associate of Arts degree from Alvin Community College. Mrs. Lehrmann was a member of the Red Hat Society, longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she served on the Board of Stewardship, Sugar Land Lions Club Director and Communication Director of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Mrs. Lehrmann loved her husband, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and faithful companion, Max, her loving dog, and cherished the time she spent with them. The Visitation will be at The Settegast-Kopf Co @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Frwy (Williams Trace Exit), Sugar Land, TX on Monday, January 23, 2012 from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 1:30 pm, Trinity Lutheran Church, 1512 Louise Street, Rosenberg TX. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center or The Lions Club Camp for Handicapped Children in Kerrville, TX.
