He was born and raised in Houston by his two loving parents. He was known to be a mischievous child but his grin could get him out of just about anything. He graduated from Madison High School where he was a member of the FFA and a Marlin guard. Although he made an attempt at college, the grocery store business was his passion. While working in a grocery store he met Jeannette who would become his wife for almost 19 years. Together they had four children. They were the light of his life. Mike loved his children more than anything in this world. During this time he and his best friend, Ames began opening grocery stores. He became vice-president of Arlan's Market. No matter where he went he never met a stranger. One thing he did not lack was charisma. He was a great man with a big heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Steve Grant and Bernice Grant Nell, his sister; Brenda Grant Denham, and his daughter; Summer Grant.
He leaves behind to mourn his loss, daughter; Morgan Grant, his sons; Tyler Grant (Kimberly), and Lance Grant; the mother of their children, Jeanette Grant; his beautiful grandchildren; Nolan, Kaylor, and Angell, his brother; Marc Grant (Sheryl), nieces, nephews, his best friend Ames Arlan and the entire Arlan family.
The Grant family would like to give a special thank you to the Arlan Family for their love and support of Mike.
