Mike Hale

J. MICHAEL HALE, age 62, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Becky; children, Adam and Lauren Hale of Houston; mother, Gloria Hale of Schertz; sister, Patti Hale and husband Ric; nephew, Brandon Suehs and family, all of Austin. He was preceded in death by his father, Mearl D. Hale.

Mike graduated with Honors from the University of Texas School of Architecture in 1977, and was currently employed by Fluor Corp. as Director of Architectural Services. Mike served as helicopter crew chief for the U.S. Army from 1969-1972. He was awarded the Silver Star and Distinguished Flying Cross in field commendation ceremonies while in Vietnam. Mike will be remembered for his quick wit and passion for excellence in all of his endeavors.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, November 5, 2010, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek (Williams Trace Exit). Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 6, 2010, in the Morrow Chapel of the Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, in San Antonio, TX, with full military honors.
