Pamela Marie Heinzman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, went to meet her Lord and Savior on May 30, 2025, in Sugar Land, Texas, at the age of 68.
Pam was born on November 28, 1956, in Waterloo, Iowa, to the late Ron and Jackie Fischels. For 48 years, she was the devoted wife and partner of Michael Joseph Heinzman, with whom she built a life centered on family, faith, and selfless giving. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Kris and Lindsey, and celebrated the addition of daughter-in-law Alison Brooks. Pam’s heart swelled with joy in her role as “Grandma” to Grace, Eli, and Quinn.
A proud co-founder and co-owner of a highly successful fundraising business, Pam was a skilled professional who also served as a consultant to a prominent national fundraising company. But her proudest accomplishments were personal—successfully raising two thoughtful, capable adults ready to meet life with confidence, as well as training her husband with reasonable success.
In the time her health allowed, Pam was a woman of many talents and boundless energy. She was an avid tennis player, a talented woodworker, a lover of all things crafty, and a gifted home designer and decorator. She was a devoted volunteer, serving the Fort Bend Pregnancy Resource Medical Center, Sacred Heart Life Teen as a core team member, and as a prayer minister for Steubenville youth conferences. She also dedicated herself to community efforts, chairing and revitalizing the Sugar Mill Elementary School carnival and coaching and volunteering for numerous youth sports teams. Pam loved traveling to new places with family and friends.
Pam’s strength and grace were perhaps most evident in her courageous 22-year battle with cancer and its effects. She fought with determination, optimism, and unwavering faith, becoming a source of inspiration to all who knew her.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Mike; her children, Kris (Alison) Heinzman and Lindsey Heinzman; her grandchildren, Grace, Eli, and Quinn; and her siblings, Randy, Gorden, Jack, Becky, Brian, Lorie, Jeff, and Brad. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ron and Jackie Fischels.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church in Sugar Land, TX. A visitation and rosary will take place on Thursday, June 12th from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at Settegast-Kopf Dignity Memorial.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Fort Bend Pregnancy Resource Medical Center or to the Houston Humane Society, causes that were close to Pam’s heart.
Pam lived a life filled with love, laughter, and determination. She set the standard for how to treat, protect, and love others — a legacy that will live on through the countless lives she touched.
Serving as pallbearers are Pam's brother; Randy Fischels, Gorden Fischels, Jack Fischels, Brad Fischels, Brian Fischels and Jeff Fischels.
