1939-2016
On October 23, 2016, Paul “Moose” Moore peacefully passed away surrounded by his loved ones in Missouri City, Texas after a courageous battle against lung cancer and pulmonary fibrosis. “A Celebration of Paul’s Life” will be held at Settegast-Kopf Funeral Home at Sugar Creek in Sugar Land, TX on November 12, 2016 at 6:00 pm with Reverend Marty Vershel officiating.
Paul followed Hunter S. Thompson’s motto: “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow! What a Ride!’” In his finals hours, he was heard saying to Sherry “It’s been a GREAT Ride!” and gave her a “thumbs up”.
Paul made his life entrance on November 22, 1939 in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania to Glenn and Verna Moore. He went to high school at Bald Eagle – Nittany High School, and he studied Mathematics at Lock Haven University. Paul joined the United States Army and served his country honorably. During his service, he was awarded “Post Soldier of the Month” for the month of June 1963. Paul moved to Texas in 1982 and opened his company, AllPoints/Atlas Moving and Storage in 1984. He soon had offices in Austin, Houston, Arlington and Beaumont. He was very excited to have his sons take an active role in his companies. Gene Moore joined the team in 1987, and Randy Moore joined in 1990.
Paul fell in love with his soulmate, Sherry in Hawaii, and they spent 20 years always modeling their true love for each other. Paul enjoyed traveling with Sherry, playing golf and hunting. His favorite places were the beautiful homes he and Sherry had in Steamboat, Rockport and Kennebunkport, and he welcomed visitors from all over. Paul knew how to make everyone feel special. His most favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He was adored by his wife, children, and grandchildren. You could just see the excitement in his eyes every time he saw them – he had the most incredible smile. If a grandchild was around, they would normally be in his lap or very close by. He was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, loving stepfather, and the best Papa ever!
Paul Moore is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Moore, Mother, Verna Moore; Siblings, Betty (Jack) Shangraw of Kennebunk, ME, Glenn Moore of Beech Creek, PA, Margorie Bechdel of Morristown, NJ.

In the end, there are three things that last forever, faith, hope and love. The greatest of these is love. Paul was loved by many, and his memory will live on forever in our hearts.
