

PAUL MICHAEL WINTERS, age 41, of Houston, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, February 12, 2010. Paul was born on September 10, 1968, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was a twin and a wonderful child. Paul grew up with his three brothers in a family that loved him very much. The family eventually moved to Mobile, Alabama, where he went on to skate in the National Figure Skating Championships, an accomplishment for which he was very proud. Paul graduated from Baker High School and went to college, and eventually moved to Houston where he went to work for UPS. He was able to travel the world through his service in the U.S. Navy and also on vacation which is something that he also cherished greatly.
Paul is survived by his loving mother, Marietta Winters; his twin brother, Jason Winters; his older brother, Mark Winters; his grandmother, Lucy Gauthier; his two children, Taylor and Michael; and many friends and co-workers who will miss his wonderful sense of humor. He was also survived by his father, A.D. Winters. Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Dave; and grandfather, Myron Gauthier (Paw Paw). He was kind, gentle, and thoughtful. Paul loved his children and spoke of them every day. The family is devastated to lose him so early in his life.
A Memorial Celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in the Morrow Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, in Houston, TX.
