

Phillip David Fahey, surrounded by his loving family, died peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Phil is preceded in death by his parents, Merlin “Mick” Fahey and Phyllis Sterkel Fahey. Phil is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years, Susan Guillory Fahey; loving sons, Patrick, and his wife Yasmyn, and Colin Fahey, and Dawn McGowen; grandchildren, Alexander and Peter Fahey; siblings, Merlin Fahey and Brooksie Fulgium; and brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends who were an important and beloved part of his life. A resident of Sugar Land since 1994, Phil was born at Larson Air Force Base in Moses Lake, Washington, on January 16, 1952. He graduated from Airline High School in Bossier City, Louisiana, later earning a Degree in Accounting & Finance from Houston Baptist University. He had a lengthy career in the oil industry and spent the last nine years at 2H Offshore, Inc., before retiring in 2016.
Phil loved West Texas and enjoyed hunting there. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching movies, relaxing outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to one of the following: the Houston SPCA, Best Friends Animal Society, Ft. Bend Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek in Sugar Land, Texas, on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m., with the service starting at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow the service.
