

Rebecca (Becky) was a cherished and beloved mother, grandmother and sister. She was born January 21, 1948 in Cameron, Texas to Richard & Rebecca Long. She grew up in Houston, Texas alongside her twin sister, Janice and older sister, Lydia. The sisters and their parents would take frequent road trips to Gause, Texas to spend time with their grandma, “Bobby”. They also enjoyed visiting Yellowstone National Park. Becky attended Westbury High School where she then met her husband, Michael Servat, Sr., during a double date with her sister and another friend.
Becky went to the University of Houston and graduated with a degree in Home Economics. She and Mike were married on November 28, 1970. They both were offered teaching jobs in Buras, Louisiana.
She and Mike moved back to Houston in 1972 and ended up settling in the Sugar Land area. Becky had a talent in interior design and ran her own business for a few years.
She was a nurturing and involved parent, and she encouraged her children to live with integrity, be independent, and be happy. She was an active participant in the Boys Scouts America in which her son earned his Eagle rank. She was also involved in her daughter’s interests including dance team and never missed a performance.
Becky was the host of many special family gatherings. Every birthday and holiday was a celebration at her house. Her dining room table was adorned with perfectly placed china and elegant décor topped off with flickering candlelight. She made her home so warm and cozy for everyone to enjoy. She was full of joy and laughter when her family was together.
She welcomed her first grandchild, Lindsey, in 2006. She was so excited to be a grandma. She made a sweet play area in her home with a lovely play kitchen and lots of fun toys for the grandkids to enjoy when they were over. They loved playing at their grandma’s house.
Becky enjoyed spending time with her twin sister, Janice. They did almost everything together, especially the past few years. Becky and Janice spent time dining at La Madeleine and visiting nearby shops. The pair of sisters were a joy to everyone they encountered.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Rebecca Long and her husband, Michael Servat, Sr.
She is survived by her twin sister, Janice O'Keeffe, sister, Lydia Vaughn, children, Michael Servat and Susannah Olsen, and grandchildren, Lindsey, Lucas, Lacy, and Logan Olsen.
A visitation for Rebecca will be held Friday, April 10th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478.
A funeral service will occur Friday, April 10th 2026 at 4:00 PM at The Settegast-Kopf Company@Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478. With a catered reception after.
A graveside will occur Saturday, April 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gause Cemetery at 305 N Main St, Gause, TX 77857
