Renee Lyons

Born on July 2, 1951 in Washington D.C., Renee was the cherished daughter of Marie and Ray Battaglini. She grew up in Takoma Park Maryland, and later traveled and lived around the world with the love of her life, Richard Lyons.

Renee married Richard in 1973, and together they built a life centered on love, laughter, and faith. She was a devoted mother to Stephanie and Sean, and a proud mother-in-law to Kendra. Her greatest joy was being "Nana" to her four granddaughters - Emma, Anna, Julia and Katherine - who were the light of her life.

Renee will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her generous and caring spirit, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures - whether it was long walks with friends, afternoons playing games with her granddaughters, or time spent with family. She had a gift for making those around her feel loved, supported, and encouraged, and she touched countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, and warmth.

Renee's life will be celebrated on October 25, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church in Missouri City, TX. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and share memories of her beautiful life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Marty Lyons Foundation or the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.

Her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
