Robert Paul Archer Sr., lovingly known as “Bob” to family and friends, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, in Sugar Land, Texas, at the age of 78.
Born on July 6, 1946, in Houston, Texas, Bob lived a full and vibrant life marked by devotion to family, a love of the outdoors, and an enduring passion for flying and ranch life.
Bob enjoyed a successful career in automotive sales and was also a proud rancher. He was an active member of Lochinvar, Riverbend, the Houston Golf Association, the National Aviation Association, and the Cattle Ranchers Association—communities where he built lasting friendships and shared countless joyful moments.
A man of many interests, Bob especially loved spending time with family, playing golf, flying friends and loved ones in his airplanes, and being at the Ranch with his beloved wife, Lynne. He found great joy in hunting and cherished every family gathering—especially if chocolate brownies were involved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rita Mary Archer, and his beloved son, Jeffrey Neal Archer.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Lynne Archer; his sons, Robert Paul Archer Jr. (Mary) and Todd Archer (DeeAna); his brother, James Archer; his sister, Marian Fico (Carey); and his cherished grandchildren: Robert Archer III, Alexandra, Meredith, Lauren, Bella, Bliss, Bethany, and Bailey Archer. His legacy of love, laughter, and adventure lives on in each of them.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, April 21, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 22, at 1:00 p.m. at the same location, with graveside services to follow at Morton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities, a cause close to their hearts.
Bob will be remembered always for his generous spirit, warm smile, and the way he lived life to the fullest.
