Robert Patrick Carr, aged 63, passed away on Monday, December 8th, 2025. He was born March 4th, 1962, in Beaumont, Texas. His father, Charles Robert Carr, and mother, Judy Sue Carr precede him in death.
Robert was the second oldest of three children Gerry Carr, Jay Carr and Chris Carr. He was a proud graduate of the Dulles High School class of 1980.
Robert is survived by his wife Kelly Carr as well his children Ashley Wolverton and her husband Ross, his son Bobby Carr, and his son Ryan Carr and his wife Natalie. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jayden and Brody Carr; and Khloe, Parker, and Olivia Wolverton who all loved him dearly and will miss his signature “pappy breakfast” which consisted of everything from grits to biscuits to show his love for his family.
Robert met his wife Kelly at the age of 14 at Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in a youth group. They parted ways for a time, and they did not meet again until the age of 22 in 1983 where they met by chance passing by each other in a grocery store. They rekindled the flame and got married in 1985. Robert and Kelly shared a love of estate sale shopping and antiques where they would bond over their endless search for American historical memorabilia which he proudly collected over the years and displayed in his home. Robert had a soft spot for classic American music (and a smattering of almost everything else) which he played at the parties he hosted for his many friends he accumulated over the years. Neighbors, friends, and family always had a place in Bob’s home over a beer and good conversation in the garage.
Robert was an avid Texans fan and held season tickets (even in years where they were not favored to win). He attended so many of those Texans games with his children who still have a love for the team in his honor. Robert and his workplace hosted many tailgates under their proudly displayed “Blue Bulls” banner, which was lovingly crafted for him by his wife, Kelly. He did what he loved the most at these tailgates. Making good food and hosting a great party.
Robert was an avid reader which primarily consisted of American History, real war accounts and any other historical era he found to be of interest which as an intelligent man was widely varied. The bookshelf in his home housed many stories, all of which he read. An expert gardener, Robert grew a variety of plants in his backyard alongside his collection of windchimes that he made himself to bring music to every aspect of his life.
Robert lived a life full of good friends, good food, and good memories which those who love him will keep in their hearts for the rest of their days. He will be remembered in the sound of those windchimes, the gatherings of friends, and the smell of breakfast which will never be able to hold a candle to his signature “Pappy Breakfast”.
He was loved.
He will be missed.
And he will be remembered the rest of our days.
