

Rosemary was born September 13, 1930 in New York, New York to the late Angelo Charles and Mary Freda.Rosemary graduated from Cathedral High School in New York and went on to study at Woods Business School and Fordham University in New York.
Rosemary’s passion was her family. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Edward F. McMahon. Rosemary and Ed were married 52 years prior to his passing in 2007. Rosemary supported Ed’s career as they moved across the U.S. and back several times with five children. When Ed retired, they traveled the world. Travels included Italy, Greece, Scotland, Ireland, Spain, France, Austria, China, Bangkok, Africa, Australia, Panama and Mexico, to name a few.
Rosemary was a dedicated volunteer for many years. She faithfully served as a Eucharistic Minister to individuals, nursing homes and hospitals for over a decade. She helped with many functions and activities for Catholic Charities and the Catholic Women’s Association. Rosemary volunteered at SL Health Services, Memorial Herman Hospital and Methodist Hospital in the gift shops. Rosemary was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was admired and adored. Rosemary will always be remembered for her infectious smile, contagious laughter and kind heart. She was a cherished friend to many.
Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, Angelo Charles and Mary Freda, her brother, Lawrence Freda, her husband, Edward F. McMahon, and her sons, Edward F. McMahon III (Ned) and Thomas Charles McMahon.
Rosemary is survived by her son, Mark McMahon, her daughters, Maryellen McMahon and Tracey Little, and son-law William Little. She is survived by her grandchildren, Carl John Eppolito, Lindsey Eppolito, Katelyn Bowser, Claire Cutright, Carly Young, Jessica McMahon, Emily Hartman and her great grandchildren, Sofia Eppolito, Mia Eppolito, Victoria Carlin, Jack and Rosemary Bowser, and Holly Young. Her Greatest JOY came from her families Love.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St Theresa Catholic Church, located at 705 St Theresa Blvd, Sugar Land, Texas, 77498. The service is scheduled for February 14, 2026, starting at 11:00 am.
