
Russell Jay Kardos, 58, of Sugar Land, Texas passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 8, 1960 to the late Albert and Thelma Kardos. He was married to Lori Lehman Kardos for 33 years and they have a son Ryan Freeman Albert Kardos. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sheryl L. Sanders of New Cumberland, PA.
Russell Kardos graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and Masters in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. He enjoyed a career in the Chemical Industry and spent the majority of his time working for Dow Chemical.
He was an Assistant Boy Scoutmaster in Sugar Land and Lake Jackson, TX; taught Sunday school at Chapelwood United Methodist Church; a member of Christ United Methodist Church; and a member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers. He had a passion for Boy Scouts, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, and the love of his family.
In addition to his wife and son, Russell Kardos is survived by his brothers-in-law, John F. Lehman of Michigan and William L. Sanders of Pennsylvania; parents-in-law Freeman and Gloria Lehman; niece Sarah Sawall and husband David of Wisconsin; niece Darcey Lehman of New York; Aunts and Uncles of Don and Diane Kardos, Don and Erlene Kardos, John and Joan Kardos, Chester and Carol Klingensmith all of Pennsylvania; and Jim and Jeannine Simek of Massachusetts; and several cousins.
