Early in her career, Sally, as a registered nurse, had a living passion for taking care of others. Sally later took an interest in Hospice Care, providing medical, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families most in need of peace, comfort, and dignity. Sally also took her care-giving passion home with her love, support, and guidance for many family friends and neighbors. “Ping Pong” will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Miriam Sweeney. Sally is survived by her sons, Jonathan Brenner and wife Heather, both currently living in Spain, and Andy Grant of Austin, TX; father, Jerry Sweeney of Galveston, TX; and brother, Patrick Sweeney of San Antonio, TX. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Clay Carter and his family, and the Smith family.
A Memorial Service will be held in Sally’s honor at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at the Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek; 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit) with the Rev. M. Eugene Vickrey, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sally’s memory may be directed to Houston Children’s Charity at www.houstonchildrenscharity.org.
