Son Ba Mai – ObituarySon Mai passed away on January 27, 2018 at his home in Houston, Texas. He was 57 years old. After coming to America from Vietnam, Son received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. After graduation, he worked for National Semiconductor Company and Texas Instrument before becoming self-employed in the past several years. Son enjoyed building computers, writing software and developing websites. In his spare time, he loved watching old comedies and visiting with family. Son is survived by his parents, Gam and Ann Mai. He is also survived by his brothers Dr. Vuong Mai and Vinh Mai. Sisters Thuy Mai, Mia Hogan and her children, and Lan Bedee and brother-in-law, Nathan Bedee, and nephews, Aaron and Reece Bedee. Son was an exceptionally intelligent, kind and gentle person who always had a positive outlook on life and always made the best situations out of any obstacles he encountered.
